October 2006 - Dr Rose returned from the 14th Annual Meeting of the International Society of Hair Restoration where Dr Rose completed his tenure as President of the Society. At the meeting Dr Rose performed live surgery, demonstrating the FIT procedure along with Dr James Harris. The surgery was sent by satellite for viewing by over 80 physicians. During the procedure Dr Rose demonstrated his new FIT punch that allows for a single step procedure. Doctors Rose and Harris removed over 330 grafts with a transaction rate of less than 3%, calculated independently by the technical staff at the operating room facility.

During the annual meeting Dr. Rose presented a new instrument for donor harvesting when using a strip technique. The device spreads the tissue to allow for easier removal of the donor tissue with less trauma to the follicles. (depicted to the right).

Dr Rose lectured on his “LEDGE Closure” technique which minimizes donor scars. During the lecture he presented histology slides proving that the tissue removed does not damage the hair growth centers and compared his technique to that of Drs Frechet and Marzola.

Dr Rose also taught at the FIT/FUE workshops and directed a workshop on Botox and Tissue Fillers.

April 2006 - Dr Rose taught at the FUE/FIT workshop in Denver Colorado.

At the course, directed by Dr James Harris, Dr Rose lectured on his approach to FIT (Follicular Isolation Technique) as well as problems and solutions associated with FIT and FUE. He demonstrated the technique and the use of various devices for FUE. Dr Rose assisted the participants in performing FIT/FUE on the volunteer patients.

March 2006 - Dr Rose participated in the Live Surgery Workshop sponsored by the ISHRS in Orlando, Florida.

Dr Rose lectured on several topics including FIT, hairline design and his LEDGE closure technique to minimize the appearance of the donor scar. Dr Rose instructed in the surgical portion of the meeting and performed FIT and LEDGE closure.
